setting up your email on your iphone
The following is the instructions to set up your email on your iphone device.
Go to ‘Settings’
Select ‘Passwords & Accounts’
Select ‘Add Account’
Select ‘Other’
Select ‘Add Mail Account’
Use the following information:
Name: Your name as you want people to see
Email: Your email address we are setting up. ie., name@yourdomain.com.au
Password: The email password that has been set up on your account
Description: How you want your account called on your iPhone. This will automatically default to show the domain but can be changed to anything. ie., Work Email
Select ‘Next’Ensure ‘POP’ is selected at the top by sliding over the bar.
Input the following details:
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: pop.yourdomain.com.au (ie., I would put mail.thestudiocreative.com.au - simply put mail. in front of your domain name.
Username: Enter your whole email address ie., name@yourdomain.com.au
Password: The email password that has been set up on your account
Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: Again use the same as incoming. smtp.yourdomain.com.au (ie., I would put mail.thestudiocreative.com.au - simply put mail. in front of your domain name.
Username: Enter your whole email address ie., name@yourdomain.com.au
Password: The email password that has been set up on your account
Click ‘Save’
All done!
If you run into any error messages please check your advanced settings and check you have used the following:
Incoming Advanced Settings
Use SSL - Turned off
Authentication - ‘Password’
Server Port - 110
Outgoing Advanced Settings
Use SSL - Turned off
Authentication - ‘Password’
Server Port - 587
SETTING UP A SIGNATURE ON YOUR IPHONE
To set up your signature please follow these instructions.
Go to ‘Settings’
Select ‘Mail’
Scroll down to ‘Signature’
Select ‘Per Account’
Add the Signature you want under your new email address.
(Tip: If your signature has already been set up on your computer, simply send an email to yourself, then you can copy and paste the signature section into this area.)
